Our Daily Bread provides nutritious meals and facilitates referrals for other services to those in need

Our Daily Bread is a community soup kitchen that serves a free, nutritious lunch meal Monday through Friday to the hungry and homeless in Denton. In addition to meals, Our Daily Bread assists with job search facilitation, phone access for appointments, mail service, transportation assistance (bus and gas vouchers, bicycles) for interviews, jobs, medical appointments and emergencies; hygiene supplies, referrals for other needs to local area agencies and application assistance for SNAP and Medicaid.

Our Daily Bread depends on gifts of time, talent, and treasure generously given by members of the Denton community. We have volunteer opportunities in the way of kitchen assistance, resume writing, data entry, hygiene closet, weekend food packages, collection drives, fundraising, publicity, or to just have a nice conversation: as poverty and homelessness is very isolating. Your time is valued at Our Daily Bread.
